The hike to Pfannhorn/Corno Fana is particularly recommendable because of the mountain panorama. As the mountain is already in the main Alpine crest you have a breathtaking view of all the famous Dolomite peaks, the Ortler group and the Ötztaler Alps. On the summit there is a panorama map on which all the mountains are signed.

The mountain offers a beautiful view of the Dolomites. It is considered by many to be one of the best panoramic mountains in Europe.

Parking places are available.

How to reach Toblach/Dobbiaco: https://www.drei-zinnen.info/en/dobbiaco/dobbiaco/contact-and-service/arrival-mobility.html

From Toblach in northern direction, passing the district Wahlen/San Silvestro, until Kandellen/Gandelle.

Not accessible by public transport.

From Kandellen/Gandelle the track passes at the chapel of Kandellen, the house Bergrast and the farm Hoferhof until the forest. Then the path no. 25 goes along a small service road - initially asphalted but soon becoming unsurfaced - into the Golfental valley. Further on the well-marked trail takes in wide bends through the forest up to the forest border and finally across wide grassy slopes up to the Bonner hut. From there it goes a path uphill along the grassy ridge of the mountain till the summit.

Descent: To turn the hike into a circular tour, you can take the following route:
From the summit over the northwest ridge on a marked path down to the "Pfanntörl/Bocchetta di Fana". From there on path no. 25A takes over grassy slopes down to the Bergalm hut (closed), then on the forest path through mountain meadows and forest down to the junction with the ascent path and back to Kandellen.
This route is only slightly longer than the direct descent.
