Snowshoe Hike to the Kälberalm Alpine Pasture
The Kälberalm Alpine pasture is a highly popular hiking destination among guests and locals alike. In addition to providing a welcome break for climbers on their way to the summit, it also attracts many snowshoe hikers and those looking for a little quiet. Its idyllic location makes it ideal for longer visits and offers guests the chance to catch some winter sun. While the hut is not staffed in the winter months, hikers are always free to enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountain peaks.
Starting from the Hotel Alpina in Sulden, keep following the markers for the “Kälberalm” Alpine pasture and trail no. 18. The gently ascending route crosses a larch forest that is never more romantic than in winter.
