Car parking in Val di Poia some three km after Acereto, directly at the start of the walk. Follow the broad forestry road until it becomes a simple mountain path, directly to the pasture through windswept, bent pines. No refreshments.
Almost 500 m elevation, moderately steep. Outbound = return route. Across open ground only.

Reschen pass, Bozen, Brixen and national road Pustertaler Staatsstraße to Bruneck – turn left into the Ahrntal Valley - Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures - Acereto/Ahornach
Coming from the east:
Motorway Tauernautobahn or Felbertauern tunnel to Lienz and continue on to Innichen -Toblach - Bruneck – turn right into the Ahrntal Valley - Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures - Acereto/Ahornach
Coming from the south:
