The start is at the Restaurant 'da Kathi'. After the first bend you follow the signs towards "Willis Mühle" or the mark into the San Silvestro Valley. After 1.5 hours of walk you reach the San Silvestro chapel. Behind the chapel it goes short steep uphill till you come out of the forest (pay attention to the mark, it is not always clear). Soon you win free terrain and the view is always magnificent. Departure as ascent or directly into the south-facing slope

Drive to San Candido in the Val Pusteria/Pustertal Valley and then continue towards Versciaco (approx 3.5km). At the parking area of the ski resort Monte Elmo Mountain turn right, pass through the railway underpass and after another 3km you reach the Restaurant Kathi - Jaufen.
