The Pfunders Alpine Hut Circuit offers a varied hike through alpine landscapes, panoramic views, and welcoming hut stops. The route takes you past traditional alpine huts and stunning viewpoints, with vistas stretching across the Pfunders Valley to the Peitlerkofel.

From there it is an additional 45-minute walk to the starting point of the hike.

Start in the village of Dun– this is where the Alpine Hut Circuit begins. Follow Trail 17 uphill for a short stretch, then turn right onto Trail 13A. Continue on, taking Trail 13 to Trail 18, which leads to the Egger-Bodenalm, a high alpine dairy farm. This is a perfect spot to experience life on the alp!

After the Egger-Bodenalm, continue briefly, then turn right along the slope until you reach Trail 13 again. Follow this trail to the junction with the Pfunders High Trail. Here, turn right toward Kuhscharte and follow the new forest trail. This path leads to the Gampiel Alm, offering breathtaking views over the Pfunders Valley and as far as the Peitlerkofel. A special highlight for families: Gampiel Alm has a small petting zoo that’s sure to delight children.

Descend via the forest trail to the Egger Farms. From here, return to Dun: follow Trail 13 briefly, then turn left onto the "Old Path" back to the parking area.
