The parish church of St James the Greater is located in the centre of Barbian and, together with its well-known leaning church tower, is a distinctive feature of the village. Inside, you can discover artistic stained-glass windows, historic wooden sculptures and a special Crucifixion group on the high altar. The church offers a peaceful place to pause and is also well worth a visit for those interested in culture.

The church is open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visits may be restricted during Mass and other church services. Please behave quietly and respectfully inside the church.

Holy Mass: Sundays at 10 a.m. and, on alternating weeks, Sundays at 8 a.m. or Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; services are held in German.

From Klausen, take the SS12 towards Bolzano. At Waidbruck, turn towards Barbian and follow the road to the village centre. The church is located in the centre of the village.
