Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere around Penon and Fennals as well as the beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains.

From the main square of Penon the path follows the the trail marked nr. 7. This path follows the road - at the fork, stay left, along the forest road, then over the hiking path to Fennhals (1031 m). At the Di Pauli residence with its small church, we proceed downward over the Römerweg – marked 2 – back to Penon (605 m).

The hike partly follows forest and natural paths. Some sections can be slippery when wet. Wear suitable footwear and pay attention to weather conditions.

Sturdy hiking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, enough water, sun protection and hiking poles if needed are recommended.

By public transport, you can reach Neumarkt. From there, you can get to Penon, the starting point of the hike.

The hike starts at the main square of Penon. The route leads through the varied landscape around Penon and continues towards Fennals. Along quiet forest and meadow paths, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surroundings. The trail then returns to the starting point in Penon.
