Shortdescription

Parish Church of St. Nicholas in Pichl – from Gothic to Neo-Gothic, featuring local master artworks.

General description

The Parish Church of St. Nicholas in Pichl was first mentioned in 1334 and has undergone several transformations—from Gothic to Neo-Gothic style. The bell tower with pointed-arch windows dates back to 1472. In 1879, the church was redesigned by Josef Vonstadl, and expanded in 1963 by architect Erich Pattis. Highlights include Nazarene-style statues by Michael Hintner and Neo-Gothic altars by the Colli & Adam workshop.
