The unique holiday area of Ultimo Valley with its high Alpine Schwemmalm ski area is an ideal area for flight due to its geographical and thermal characteristics. Great spots for paragliding can be found on the  Schwemmalm, on the sunny side of the valley. In winter, the Schwemmalm is a popular ski area, with starting locations at up to 2,600 m a.s.l. and in the summer up to 2000 m a.s.l.. Many paragliders love to hike up to the Mutegg mountain and start right from the summit of this local mountain platform. The landing area at the valley station of the Schwemmalm cable car is one of the largest landing grounds in South Tyrol. Therefore, a flight from the Schwemmalm is also reccomended for less experienced gliders.
