The observation platform is situated on the European footpath on 2,086m and offers a fantastic panoramic view at the surrounding mountains: from the Dolomites, to the Ortles and the mountains around Meran/Merano.

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the street to Vöran/Verano – the parking place is located above Grüner Baum Restaurant/Das Stübele Restaurant. From the parking place walk on trails no 16 and 11 until the Vöraner Alm Mountain Hut and on the trails no. 2, 5 and 5A to the Kreuzjoch (approx 3 hours 30min).

With the bus until the bus stop "Sportplatz Vöran", from there walk on trails no 16 and 11 until the Vöraner Alm Mountain Hut and on the trails no. 2, 5 and 5A to the Kreuzjoch (approx 3 hours 30min).:

• Bus no. 204 "Hafling - Vöran - Mölten - Terlan - Bozen"
• Bus no. 225 "Meran - Hafling - Falzeben" (until Hafling Dorf, than change to busline no. 204)
