Before setting out on your day excursion, please make sure of the weather and trail conditions.

The hike starts at the Verdins-Talle cable car mountain station, taking you on path no. 40A to the mountain village of Prenn. The route leads past the Oberkirn Inn and the Portnerhof, then over meadows and a short detour through the forest to the Prennanger Inn. As you walk through Prenn, the marked path takes you to the left, past the church, and down into the valley. Pass the Alpenblick Inn and the path (no. 4A) takes you over the Prenn mountain meadows and then along a forest trail to reach the ‘Untermeinlecher’ wine tavern in Untertall. From there, the route back to the Verdins-Talle cable car valley station is pleasantly flat.

You can then take the bus from Verdins back to Scena or Merano in comfort.
