Per questo tour è necessaria una buona condizione fisica e sotto la vetta un passo sicuro e una testa per le altezze.

From the Raffeinhof farmstead, head north along the Jaufenkamm Urweg trail (16). Cross through a forest before arriving at the ‘Kuchlkaser’ above the tree line. Continue (northeast) over some lush mountain meadows to the Schlattacher Joch ridge. The steep westward route leading past the Übelsee lake climbs northwards across some difficult terrain before reaching the summit.  

 

The descent is the same as the ascent (in reverse).

This tour requires a good level of fitness and, below the summit, some surefootedness and a head for heights.

Good hiking boots, hiking clothing and rain protection are recommended.

Parking is available in the parking lot at the Raffeinhof farm.

Coming from Merano/Meran into Val Passiria/Passeiertal to San Leonardo/St. Leonhard, continue to Moso/Moos, in the direction of Passo Timmelsjoch to Stuls/Stuls. After the church in Stuls, follow the road (out of the valley) for about 1 km to the east (E5), then above the Silberhütthöhe, where the E5 turns right, up the road in several bends (northwards) to the farms of Burkt and on to the highest farm Raffein, where there is a small parking lot.

Stuls can be reached several times a day by public bus from Moos. However, you have to walk to Raffeinhof, which is why it is advisable to take the car for this tour
