From Chiusa take the LS87 to the village of Villandro; at the DESPAR turn right towards the Villandro Alp and continue to the Saltnerstein car park (Gasser Hut).

This hike passes the Totenkirchl, goes by the picturesque Totensee lake, and leads up to the summit of Villandro Mountain.

Bus line 345 from Chiusa/Villandro/Villandro Alp
Route: From Saltnerstein (Gasser Hut) we follow trail markings no. 6, 7A and 7 towards the Rittner Horn as far as the Gasteiger Saddle. From there we hike on trail no. 3 up to the Sarner Scharte. We then continue on trail no. 2 to the summit of Villandro Mountain. The return route follows trails no. 2 and 2A, past the Totensee to the Totenkirchl, and finally along trail no. 6 back to the starting point.
