In the ski and holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal you can get an Adventure Book at your accommodation or at the tourist offices. This special booklet features ten selected hikes, each with a stamp station along the way, where you can collect an imprint in your Adventure Book.

With three stamps, you can claim a bronze medal at the tourist offices in Mühlbach, Rodeneck, Terenten, Vals, or Meransen. Six stamps earn you a silver medal, and with all ten, you’ll be awarded the prestigious gold medal!

The Milk Trail is an educational and scenic hike that offers insights into South Tyrol’s dairy traditions. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone interested in alpine culture.

Park at the Berg am Boden parking lot at the end of Vals Valley – the ideal starting point for your hike to Fane Alm.
By bus nr 412 from Mühlbach (Möbelhaus Rogen)  to Vals (Kabinenbahn Jochtal).
Attention: Busstop is 20 minutes away from the starting point.

Start at the Berg am Boden parking lot at the end of Vals Valley and follow the signs to Fane Alm. Begin on a short paved road and cross the bridge near Kurzkofel Hut. Here, the Milk Trail (Trail No. 17) begins, taking you gently uphill. Along the way, you’ll find information panels with interesting facts about South Tyrol’s dairy farming.

After a pleasant walk, you’ll reach Fane Alm, an ancient alpine village set in stunning mountain scenery.
