From Nalles, take the Etschtal bicycle path in the direction of Bolzano to Ponte Adige. Turn right and cycle onwards to S. Michele/Appiano, then continue in the direction of Lake Caldaro. At the crossing, turn left and follow the signposts for “Ora”. From here you will have a wonderful view of the lake as you cycle down through the orchards, vineyards and forests to your destination. Return home along the same route.

Alternative: From Lake Caldaro, continue through a biotope past the village of Klughammer. Continue along a more trafficated road, turn left below a rail crossing and the Brennero highway, crossing the Etsch river. After the bridge, turn to the left and take the Etschtal bicycle route to Bolzano, then continue in the direction of Merano up until the exit point in Nalles.

Von Nals geht es auf dem Etschtalradweg in Richtung Bozen bis nach Sigmundskron. Dort rechts abbiegen und leicht bergauf bis nach St. Michael / Eppan und weiter in Richtung Kaltern. Am Kreuzweg links abbiegen und den Wegweisern „Auer“ folgen. Mit Blick auf dem Kalterer See geht es nun abwärts durch Obstwiesen, Weingärten und Wäldern bis zum Ziel der Tour. Der Heimweg erfolgt auf derselben Strecke.
Alternative: Vom Kalterer See geht es an der Ortschaft Klughammer vorbei durch ein Biotop. Weiter auf einer stärker befahrenen Landstraße und links unter einem Bahnübergang und der Brennerautobahn über die Etsch. Nach der Brücke links abbiegen und auf dem Etschtalradweg entlang bis nach Bozen und weiter in Richtung Meran bis zum Ausgangspunkt in Nals.
