Königsanger is a panoramic summit above Garn. The hike passes through forest, alpine meadows, and open mountain slopes. From the summit, there are wide views of the Geisler/Odle, Schlern/Sciliar, Rosengarten/Catinaccio, and the surrounding Dolomite peaks.
The parking lot is at the "Garner Wetterkreuz".
Leave the motorway at Chiusa/Klausen and take the first exit at the roundabout. At the second roundabout, take the second exit. After about 100 metres, turn right towards Feldthurns. Follow the road until above Verdings. There, the road to Garn branches off to the right. Continue through the village and pass the Garner Wetterkreuz. Shortly afterwards, you will reach the parking area.
Public transport access is possible by bus line 343 from Chiusa/Klausen. From Bressanone/Brixen, take bus line 342 to Feldthurns, where you change to line 343 towards Garn. Updated timetables are available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en/#/
From the Garner Wetterkreuz, trail no. 10 follows a gravel road for a short distance before continuing as a forest path. After leaving the forest, the route climbs steadily across alpine meadows and open slopes. The final section follows trail no. 10A to the summit of Königsanger.
