Description to arrive at destination

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the street to Vöran/Verano – Le Noir Forest Parking

General description

The Knottnkino (Knott meaning rock, kino meaning cinema) is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Vöran/Verano and is located upon the Rotstein Knott mountain. In the seats made from steel and chestnut wood designed and positioned by the artist Franz Messner from Ritten/Renon, one can enjoy unique views of the Texelgrupperange all the way to Penegal mountain and the Weißhorn peak, as though sitting comfortably in a cinema. But the film is always changing in the Knottnkino: daily, hourly, with the time of day and the changing of the season, with the climate and weather, there is always something new to see...

Safety instructions
In winter: Due to temperature fluctuations and sub-zero temperatures at night, the hiking trails may be icy. We strongly advise caution and recommend using snow chains for hiking boots.

We recommend to provide information about the current situation.
