The 82-metre-high bell tower of Castelrotto is one of South Tyrol’s most famous landmarks and is affectionately known as the “Cathedral on the Mountain”. Following the devastating village fire of 1753, it was rebuilt between 1756 and 1758. Its distinctive onion-shaped dome was completed in 1780.
The chapel in the church tower is open daily from 08:00 - 18:00.
