General description
Herbal path
Herbal medicine
“For many years I have cured mostly with herbs and a little with water and have achieved the most wonderful successes.” This quote from Sebastian Kneipp shows the outstanding and central
importance of herbs in the 5 pillars principle of his teachings. This importance is also taken into account in the concept of the Weißenbach/Rio Bianco health paths. The herbs form the
foundation of the healing action. Building on this foundation, the penetrating powers of water therapy and the mobilizing power of movement come into play.

Movement path
Movement therapy
Movement has a firm place in Kneipp’s teachings: the perfectly balanced interaction between performance and rest strengthens body, mind, and soul. Sebastian Kneipp thought little of hectic
activity and stress, as both are detrimental to health, and therefore recommended moderate exercise.

The therapeutic forms of water
Water therapy helps to dissolve substances in the blood that cause illness, to excrete the dissolved substances, to return the purified blood back into circulation, to “steel” and harden the
weakened organism and finally to stimulate it to new activity and to strengthen bodily functions.
