The hike starts in the center of Dorf Tirol/Tirolo. Take Seminarstraße, then head left past the seminary to Auer Castle. Then follow the signposts up the hill as far as the Tiroler Kreuz (restaurant). Slightly above the restaurant is the start of the Waldweg (exercise and hiking trail); continue along this trail (23B). From here return to Dorf Tirol.

Along the Bolzano/Bozen-Meran/Merano expressway to the exit Meran South-Sinich/Sinigo - Dorf Tirol/Tirolo - along the main street to the tourist information association (main street 31).

Take bus 221 from Merano to Dorf Tirol bus station in the centre of the village.

Lovely, approximately 5 km-long hike with wonderful views of Merano and environs.

Chargeable parking just down from the tourist information association near the turn-off onto Aichweg.
