Route description

On the right side of the main road at Avelengo starts the trail no. 12, which leads over meadows to the brook "Haflinger Bach" and ends again in the main road. You have to cross it and at the other side restarts the trail no. 12A in the direction of the Knottenkino. By the first crossroads you walk along path no. 11, and you can either go on or turn to path no. 14 to the Knottenkino. The Leadner Alm can be reached via route no. 11, and from there it goes via the number 38 to the Gasthaus Waldbichl. On route no. 15, 16B and trail no. 1 you reach finally the Restaurant Grüner Baum.

Description to arrive at destination

By car from the Brenner Pass, take the A22 motorway to the Bolzano Sud exit, then take the MEBO expressway in the direction of Meran until the Terlan exit. From there, take the mountain road to Mölten. From Mölten take the panoramic road to Hafling.

General description

This hike leads across the meadows, pastures and forestall areas of the Salto. Without major differences in altitude we arrive starting at Hafling the Leadner Alm and Waldbichl. In between there is also the possibility to make a detour to the viewpoint Knottenkino to enjoy a wonderful and unforgettable panorama. This tour tip is ideal for families who are used to walk. The terrain is varied and there are always inviting places for a rest, to play with the children or just to enjoy the wonderful nature.
