The best months for this hike are from June to October. Alpine flowers in summer and golden larch forests in autumn create especially beautiful scenery.

The Aldein alpine pasture area and Jochgrimm can be reached by seasonal public transport connections. Check current timetables before travelling.

The hike starts at the Jochgrimm car park or another designated starting point in the Aldein alpine pasture area. The route follows well-marked trails across extensive alpine meadows, connecting several mountain huts and viewpoints. The trail passes through green pastures, open larch forests and high plateau landscapes typical of Trudner Horn Nature Park. Depending on the chosen route variation, hikers can visit traditional alpine huts such as Schmieder Alm, Neuhütt Alm and other mountain pastures in the area. Numerous viewpoints provide magnificent views of the Dolomites before the circular route returns to the starting point.
