Geo-Trail 1a is a circular trail which leads you across meadows and forests above Teis. Alongside the trail, there are information boards with information about geology and botany of the area.

Through the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley to Klausen/Chiusa; turn into Villnöss/Funes valley and drive to Mittermühl. Turn left and continue to Teis. 

• Hiking time: 1h • Trail numbers: 30A, 1, 11 • Trail no. 30A starts right above the church (963 m) and is equipped with information boards about trees and bushes. After 400 m, turn right and leave the trail. Walk across a meadow to the lookout “Teiser Wetterkreuz” (1020 m) where you can enjoy an amazing view of the village and the surrounding landscape. Afterwards, follow trail no. 1 downwards through the forest until you get to an asphalted road. Follow the road (no. 11) through the residential estate until you get back to the starting point.
