This hike from Meransen to Moserhütte and Klein Gitsch is perfect for those who love varied trails and breathtaking views. The route takes you through forests, meadows, and alpine pastures up to the summit, where stunning panoramic views await.

Start at the Altfasstal parking lot and follow the signs for Moseralm. The path takes you on wide forest trails with a gentle ascent through the woods until you reach the Moserhütte. From there, Trail No. 6 leads you through grassy meadows up to Klein Gitsch (2,262 m), which you’ll reach in about an hour.

For the descent, you can take the same route back or choose an alternative path: from the top of Klein Gitsch, head slightly downhill northward to the Ochsenboden and continue to the Weißalm. Follow Trail No. 12A to the Lafaie hut, then take the Jagersteig, which crosses the forested slopes, until you reconnect with a wide forest trail leading back to the parking lot (about 2 hours from Klein Gitsch).
