Parking possibility at the chapel "St. Heinrich" in La Costa/Seit.

Already at the starting point at the St. Heinrich chapel in La Costa/Seit you can catch a glimpse of Laives/Leifers and the Bassa Atesina/Etschtal valley. To the left you can see the Montelargo/Breitenberg mountain, to the right the Monte di Mezzo/Mitterberg, behind which the wine villages of Appiano/Eppan and Caldaro/Kaltern lie. The hike to Castel Flavon begins on trail no. 3, the high altitude trail of Laives/Leifers, which you follow until you change to trail no. 10A. You will reach Castel Flavon in just over an hour.

The half-ruin near Bolzano/Bozen lies high above the district of Aslago/Haslach. There is also a renowned restaurant inside the castle. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the city. Trail no. 3 leads back to La Costa/Seit in approx. 1.5 hours.
