From Aicha/Aica to the Stöcklvater Church in Mühlbach/ rio di Pusteria
This walk trough interesting Landscapes at the entrance to the Pustertal valley leads trough the upper boundary of orchards and vineyards. There are cultivation trials of apple trees and grape varieties on the sunny slopes of the sunny slopes of Mühlbach. A gem worth seeing is the Stöcklvater chapel, a place of pilgrimage in Mühlbach, as well as the renowned Urlaubstöckl.
At the church in Aicha (730 m) take the village street, wich leads trough the railway underpass, ascending tot he upper outskirts oft he village (770 m). Continue south- eastwards on the asphalt road no. 9a at the edges oft he fields, past a farmhouse and trough the forest tot he road leading to Spinges/Spinga. Follow the ascending road tot he second bend, then past Urlaubsstöckl chapel (860 m) path no. 9a forks right and continues on a long strech as forest trail bending north-eastwards tot he first fields before Mühlbach. Near the Nussbaumer Hof farm you reach the asphalted farm road that you now follow to Kapelle Stöcklvater chapel and then further on to Mühlbach (777 m). Return by the same route.
