From Daunëi it goes up to the Stevia hut. Here we continue to the forcela de Piza and down to the Firenze hut. There you can return to Juac and Daunëi.

With the bus 357 (local bus) you can reach Daunëi from Selva di Val Gardena.

Stevia is the mountain which is situated above Selva. It's located on the sunny side of Selva and on the top you will have a spectacular view of the whole valley. Here you pass several small lakes, where you can load a short break and relax in pure nature and will leave the stress behind.

The hike starts in the hamlet of Daunëi, above Selva di Val Gardena. Trail No. 17A initially leads to La Palota, a steep but very scenic section through alpine meadows and rocky paths, reaching the Stevia Hut (2,300 m). The hut, located below the Forcella Piza, is perfect for a break and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Next, the trail continues over the Forcella Piza (Trail No. 17B) to the Firenze Hut. The Forcella Piza is a challenging, rocky section that requires sure-footedness, no fear of heights, and good physical fitness. The path includes narrow passages and rocky stretches but rewards hikers with spectacular mountain views.

The return follows trail No. 1 to the Juac Hut, a calmer section through alpine meadows, and finally trail No. 3 back to Daunëi, completing the loop. The hike combines steep ascents, exposed sections, and easier alpine trails – ideal for experienced hikers.
