The easy circular walk from Vöran to Hafling is suitable for everyone and can also be done with strollers.

This easy hike from Vöran/Verano to Hafling/Avelengo is suitable for everyone and even doable with a stroller. There are several places to stop and eat along the way -all of which have terraces with delightful views.

In winter: Due to temperature fluctuations and sub-zero temperatures at night, the hiking trails may be icy. We strongly advise caution and recommend using snow chains for hiking boots.

We recommend to provide information about the current situation.

Le Noir Forest Parking in Vöran, on charge

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the street to Vöran/Verano – the parking place is Le Noir Forest Parking

With the bus until the bus stop Sportplatz Vöran:

  • Bus no. 204 Hafling - Vöran - Mölten - Terlan - Bozen
  • Bus no. 225 Meran - Hafling - Falzeben (until Hafling Dorf, than change to busline no. 204)
  • Ropeway from Burgstall to Vöran (please add a 30 minutes' march to reach the starting point of the excursion)

Your hike starts comfortably with a bus ride to the Sportplatz Vöran stop. From here, an easy and pleasant hike towards Hafling begins. First, follow trail no. 16, which leads you slightly uphill to the Weiher Bruggen pond.

If you feel like taking a break or stopping for a bite to eat, there are two options here: the Leadner Alm or the Gasthof Waldbichl. Both invite you to take a short break, have a drink, or enjoy regional specialties.

After the pond, continue your hike: below the pond, trail no. 16 branches off and leads you gently down to Hafling village. This is where your tour ends, and you can take the bus back to your starting point.
