City Museum Klausen/Chiusa
The City Museum of Klausenis housed in the former Capuchin monastery of Klausen, founded through a donation by the Spanish queen Maria Anna (1667–1740). Its collections include the unique Loreto Treasure, featuring precious one-of-a-kind pieces from across Europe. Another key focus of the permanent exhibition is the Klausen artists’ colony (1874–1914), with its well-known representative Alexander Koester. With five temporary exhibitions a year, the museum gallery offers a varied programme.
