The Cisloner Almrunde is a popular panoramic hike in the Trudner Horn Nature Park in South Tyrol, above the village of Truden in the Nature Park. The circular route combines pleasant forest paths, open alpine meadows, and impressive viewpoints, making it ideal for leisure hikers and families with some mountain experience.

One of the highlights of the tour is its varied landscape: the trail first leads through dense pine and mixed forests, before opening up to beautiful views of the Adige Valley, Lake Caldaro, the Weißhorn and Schwarzhorn mountains, and the Lagorai range. A particularly impressive section is near the “Hochwand,” where the scenery suddenly becomes almost alpine, with mountain pines, alpine roses, and rocky slopes.

The heart of the hike is the Cisloner Alm at about 1,250 meters above sea level. The alpine hut is located on a sunny meadow with a small pond and is a popular place to stop for refreshments. From there, hikers can enjoy wide panoramic views across the South Tyrolean lowlands all the way to the Brenta Dolomites.

• Sturdy hiking shoes with good grip are recommended.
• In summer, hikers sometimes share the trails with mountain bikers – stay alert.
• Bring enough water, sun protection, and a light rain jacket.
• In case of thunderstorms, avoid exposed viewpoints and forest edges.
• With strollers, only the forest road to the hut is suitable, not the full loop.
• Dogs should be kept on a leash in alpine areas and near grazing livestock.

By public transport, you can easily reach the starting point of the Cisloner Almrunde by bus to Truden in the Nature Park.

From Auer, regular buses of line 144 run directly towards Truden, or you can take line 140 from Auer and change in Montan (Dolomite Road) to line 144 towards Truden.

The nearest bus stops to the hiking start are Truden, Church or Truden, Village. From there, the hike towards Cisloner Alm starts directly in the village.

On the col on the northern end of Trodena/Truden the forestry trail "Praglasir" (no.2) diverts from the land road. We walk north-west, keep going straight ahead at the sharp turn which goes to the left (no. 2a) and get to the "Hochwand", a steep scarp on 1.301m. Now we are in a typical alpine scene: alpine roses, creeping pines, mountain-avens, saxifrage and clematis can be admired on the rocky escarpments. The panoramic view extends over the mountain chain of the "Lagorai", the "Schwarzhorn" and "Weißhorn", the Alps of the "Zillertal", the "Texelgruppe" and the Valley of the "Etsch". Now we walk through fir and mixed forest (path no. 2) to the "Cisloner Alm", an alpine cabin on 1.250m which is open for guests in the summer and winter. We get back to Truden on the path no. 1.
