The marked trail winds through vibrant mixed forests, lush green meadows, and impressive chestnut groves—an exceptional nature experience.
Schindergries parking area (fee required).

The starting point of the tour, or the point of interest, is easy and convenient to reach by public transport.

We stroll through the little town of Klausen/Chiusa and, at the Tinne Bridge, turn right onto the road to Latzfons/Lazfons. We follow the Tinne stream along the gently rising asphalt road and, about 600 m past the Muttner farm, turn left. Trail no. 3A climbs quite steeply up to the ruined Staudach House; from there we continue to the right on a gentle incline (a path to the Johannser farm branches off to the left) until we reach a fork. We keep right, following the blue/white markings onto the Miners’ Trail (Erzweg) no. 3A toward the miners’ chapel of St. Anna. We walk up the ascending Miners’ Trail to the turn-off marked “Menhir”. Passing the menhir, we continue toward the “Moar in Ums” farm and then follow the asphalt road to the left (trail marker 3B) toward Villanders as far as Gravetsch Castle. Trail 4A leads us over gentle ups and downs past the Glatzner farm, through the Glatzner ravine, and on to the village center of Villanders. There we pass the town hall and head southwest, descending along the municipal road to the Untertheimer farm. From there we follow path no. 14 downhill into the Mühlbach gorge. In the Mühlbach gorge the route continues flat and then rises slightly to the hamlet of St. Moritz (Sauders).
