The hike starts at the picturesque pilgrimage town Maria Trens and goes along a partially exposed and rocky forest trail up to the panorama point Gschließegg, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view over the attractive Sterzing basin.

Start in Maria Trens village centre along trail 5 upwards to the Partinges farms, passing the street several times. Turn left on the Lottersteig trail beetween the „Spinger” and the „Troter” farms and follow the trail along the versant through the forest, passing by some farms in Gschließ and ascent to the Gschließegg panorama point (1622m). Lunch possibilities: Gasthof Post, Restaurant Bircher.
