The Resciesa tour is a moderately difficult tour with rewarding panoramic views.
The consistently steep gravel road leads from Ortisei through the Resciesa forest to the Resciesa area. Due to its characteristic steep incline and treacherous descent, this tour is only recommended for experienced bikers with good physical condition. The effort of the 900 m of ascent is rewarded on the Resciesa alp with a breathtaking view of the Dolomites.

With over 900 meters of elevation gain up to Resciesa, this tour will be a challenge even for the most trained mountain bikers. Right from the start, the path leads steeply upwards. From the starting point Ortisei, the road heads north, past the funicular Resciesa (junction for variant Resciesa tour) and continues on Cuca Street. Right before you cross the Seceda cable car trail, turn left at fraction Martin and follow the forest path. The path now ascends in serpentines. On this route you pass under the funicular railroad several times and gain many meters of altitude in a short time. The ascent to the top is quite steep, but the view and the panorama compensate everything. The last meters uphill are done on a long straight path up to the Resciesa hut. Despite everything, you shouldn’t use up all your energies, as the descent on the gravel path is not to be underestimated.
