The cross country track takes along the old railway track from Dobbiaco/Toblach in the direction to Cortina, which was closed in the early 1960s.
The nearby road with its several bus stops means that you can leave the trail at virtually any point, for example if you are tired or have problems with your equipment.

The most famous cross country track goes from the cross country stadium in Toblach/Dobbiaco in the direction to Cortina. The track leads a little uphill in the middle of the wood, passing the lake of Toblach/Dobbiaco, the War Cemetery, the View of the Three Peaks/Landro and the Dürrensee/Landro lake till the pass Gemärk/Cimabanche. From there it continues downhill through the galleries to Fiames.
