The farm
Unterthurnerhof lies around 1,200 metres above sea level above Riffian with a breathtaking view of the Sarntal valley massif and the Meran valley basin. Surrounded by forest and meadows, you can leave your hectic everyday life behind and gaze at Dorf Tirol, Schenna and Meran from above. Walk barefoot through the meadows, smell the scent of fresh hay, unwind with breathtaking views - you can experience all that and much more here with us.
We are a small dairy farm, hidden away from the hustle and bustle. Both young and old can enjoy a stress-free holiday in the fresh air here. For those who still don't want to miss out on a stroll through the town, Meran is only 13 km away.
You can really relax in our sauna offering views of mountain peaks - with a cup of tea made from farm herbs or getting pampered during a massage, while the chidlren can play in the heated wooden tub or on the farm playground.

Coming from Bozen (motorway)/Meran:
Pass the center of Riffian past the M-Preis grocery store. After approx. 700 m on the left (near the bus stop) turn left onto the mountain road (Vernuer/Gfeis), then drive for approx. 5 km to the Vernuer junction, turn left here (direction Gfeis). Then keep following the signs towards Unterthurnerhof. Pass the small bridge and after about 600 m you will have reached us.
Coming from the Jaufenpass/Timmelsjoch:
drive through St. Leonhard in the direction of Meran (approx. 15 km), after approx. 500 m after Rifiano on the right side (near the bus stop) turn right onto the mountain road (Vernuer/Gfeis), then drive for approx. 5 km to the Vernuer junction, turn left here (direction Gfeis). Then keep following the signs towards Unterthurnerhof. Pass the small bridge, after approx. 600 m you will have reached us.
