The farm
Our cattle farm in Tagusens near Kastelruth is very quietly located in the middle of forest and meadows at 1030 m above sea level. We are a dairy farm and have been offering farm holidays in our comfortably furnished holiday apartments for over 50 years. We manage 8 hectares of meadows, 20 hectares of forest, a potato field, 16 hectares of Alpine meadows, 8 hectares of which is leased land, and a cottage garden. On our farm there are 18 brown and 'Fleckvieh' cows, 15 young cattle, calves, pigs, chickens, cats and our Rudi, a very well-behaved, pure-bred Bernese mountain dog. Traditionally, in summer we bring the young cattle to the Seiser Alm pasture, the largest high pasture in Europe, where we have our own Alpine hut with a barn.

Location & arrival
Arrival
In the village of Waidbruck on the Brenner road, at the roundabout, take the first exit in the direction of the Schlern area. After the third tunnel, turn left towards Tisens/Tagusens. In Tisens, turn left towards Tagusens and follow the road to the Planitzhof farm sign on the right-hand side.
Coming via Völs and Seis, at the roundabout in Telfen near Kastelruth, take the exit towards Brixen and follow the road to the Tisens/Tagusens junction and follow the road to Planitzhof.
The access road is a bit narrow, but easy to drive on.
