The farm
The Matronerhof is located in Barbian in the lower Eisacktal valley at 836 meters above sea level and is therefore in the middle of South Tyrol. Our farm is the ideal starting point for excursions and hikes in the beautiful cultural and mountain landscape of South Tyrol.
We do dairy farming here. Cows, calves, chickens, rabbits and cats live on the Matronerhof. Every day there is something new to discover and experience on the Matronerhof farm. It definitely never gets boring.
At the Matronerhof we offer rooms with breakfast. You can enjoy our farm products every day. We also manage a vineyard on half a hectare, whereby we deliver most of the grapes to the Eisacktal winery in Klausen.
We also own an alpine pasture where our calves spend the summer. From here you can reach the Rittner Horn in half an hour and enjoy a beautiful mountain backdrop.

Arrival
You can reach the Matronerhof in Barbian by car via the A22 Brenner motorway, exit Klausen/Gröden.
Take the Klausen/Gröden exit. Follow the Brenner state road in the direction of Bolzano. After 7 km, turn right to Barbian. Follow the signs to Barbian. When you arrive in the village, pass below the church and follow the road in the direction of Ritten for about 300 m. The Matronerhof is located directly on the southern edge of the village on the left.
