Farm holiday in Wolkenstein

Lën is the word for wood in the Ladin language: you will live, eat and relax in the old farm parlour that the family used to make woodcarvings in. We have had the panelled 'Stube' in front of the new building extended and restored. This is the wonderfully cosy heart of the flat! P.S. The flat is accessible from the ground floor and has no steps.

'Pan' means bread in Ladin: outside next to the flat there is a still-working bread oven. This is where traditional, tasty house bread used to be baked. This was then dried in special wall racks and made longer lasting. What this means for you today: don't knead, just rest.

'Lat' is the Ladin word for milk - and this flat bears that name for a good reason. it has a roof terrace with an unbeatable view of the sunset. While you are watching the sun go down, we milk the cows. How about a glass of fresh milk before bed?

Fén means hay in the Ladin language: the flat faces south, where the sun rises high in the sky and dries the grass quickly. Our hay is full of wild flowers and herbs, which may be used as natural remedies to soothe aches and pains - both for animals and people. And it has a wonderfully relaxing fragrance - ohmmm!
