Our farm is in a quiet location at an altitude of approx. 1,200 m, a kilometre from the centre of Schmieden in the Pragsertal valley. Cycle paths and hiking trails go right past the farm. You can get to the beautiful and well-known "Pragser Wildsee" lake or the "Plätzwiese" at 2,000 metres above sea level in about 5 km in the middle of the nature park and Natura 2000 area "Fanes-Sennes-Prags". From there you can reach several alpine pastures and scale mountain peaks. You can also reach these starting points by car or public transport. In winter we are right on the cross-country ski run. A small ski resort with its own ski school and ski rental is just 3 km away. The large ski resorts of Drei Zinnen and Kronplatz are also only 15 minutes away by car. Several winter hiking trails and snowshoe hikes start directly from Bruggerhof.
