The vineyards in South Tyrol extend from Vinschgau over Etschtal valley down to the southernmost part of the region and over Eisacktal valley up to the Brixner valley basin. The landscape in these areas is largely made up of pergolas and arbours, in which the farmers grow their vines. The wine-growing regions are characterized above all by their diverse scenery. The grape varieties are equally varied. Three important wines have their origins in South Tyrol: Lagrein, which is becoming increasingly popular, Vernatsch, the most common South Tyrolean red wine, and Gewürztraminer, which is inseparably linked to the wine village of Tramin.

Nowhere else will you be able to experience the journey of wine from start to finish more closely than on a wine farm with holiday apartments and rooms. You have the opportunity to look behind the scenes of viticulture and watch the farmer at work. In autumn during 'Wimmen', as the wine harvest is called in South Tyrol, you can see the grapes being harvested up close. There is also a lot to see when pressing and bottling. With great pride, the farmer will pour you a first sip of the new wine. During a home-grown wine tasting, wine lovers and the farm family head down into the cellar. The self-made wines are tasted in a friendly atmosphere. Meanwhile, the farmer serves up hearty 'Speck', aromatic cheese and crunchy bread.
