This easy and nice winter hike along the Sissi Promenade in Karersee | Carezza takes winter hikers in the footsteps of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, also known as Sissi. The path, named after her, was one of her favorite walking routes. At the beginning of the tour, you pass the historic Grand Hotel Carezza, where the Empress resided during her stays. The route then leads past old farms through a picturesque winter landscape offering breathtaking views of the Latemar and ends at the Sissi Monument, which was erected in her honor.

The starting point is the Paolina parking lot. From there, path [6] initially leads past the small St. Josef | S. Giuseppe church and along the Grand Hotel Carezza. The prepared path [6] then continues through the forest to the grain mill. Once there, you continue following path [6], passing the old farms of Pitschöler, Ladritscher, and Sohler. At the next junction, switch to path [3], which leads directly to the Elisabeth Monument. The return route follows the same path.
