Shortdescription
Beautiful circular hike in the Merano 2000 hiking area.
Route description
From the starting point in Falzeben, trail no. 14, or alternatively trail no. 40A Zueggsteig, leads past the Chalet Zuegg to the Meran 2000 mountain station (walking time: approx. 1 hour, ascent also possible with the Falzeben cable car or Meran 2000 mountain railway).

From here, take trail no. 3 past the Waidmannalm mountain inn and follow trails no. 18A and 4 to the Kirchsteiger Alm and Meraner Hütte. The European long-distance hiking trail E5 (also no. 4) leads up to the Kreuzjöchl (1,980 m), where you turn right onto trail no. 15 and continue to the mountain huts Maiser Alm and Moschwaldalm. After the huts, turn right and descend for about 15 minutes over a steeper section. After crossing the Sinichbach stream, you will reach the starting point in Falzeben.
Description to arrive at destination

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo. Shortly before Hafling Dorf/Avelengo Paese turn left towards Falzeben.

General description

The mountain hut hike from Falzeben leads to the most beautiful viewing platforms in the Meran 2000 area and, thanks to the many places to stop for refreshments with sun terraces, offers a hiking experience full of enjoyment and relaxation.
